Tuesday night we were
able to attend the Devotional along with all of the other new mission
presidents and their wives AND all the missionaries in the MTC. Elder D.
Todd Christofferson spoke and we were able to see our missionaries (who we saw
Sunday night while visiting with them-great meeting them and sharing our
testimonies with them) who will be coming to Busan in August. We sat next
to Carole M. Stephens (first counselor in the general Relief Society
presidency), Linda K. Burton (general Relief Society president) and her
husband (he was the mission president of the Korea Busan Mission before
President Gilbert and we know this from Hoon, our language tutor. Hoon was a
missionary in our mission when President Burton served and President Gilbert).
Sister Burton was excited to hear we had been working with Hoon and she
was emotional/excited for us to serve there. It was wonderful receiving
hugs from these women.
We saw Steve and Cheryl
Eddington after the Devotional…they are extended family to us.
We had Elder Nash take our picture of us pointing to Korea on the map…enthusiastically showing where we will be going out in to the world.
