Last week when we were having
zone conferences we ate pizza for lunch at one of the church buildings, with
all our missionaries in the zone. One of the packages of condiments to put on
the pizza was this Tajun hot sauce (which I think they meant to call it Cajun
Hot Sauce).
Saturday night Dad, Ben, and I
hiked up a zig zaggy/switch backs road instead of our normal climbing the
mountain, because of the angle of the view. Over one of the many bridges around
our area the Fireworks Festival was held. In order for us to see the fireworks
we sat down on the wooden sidewalk lining the street, peeking through the slats
of the railing peering through the forest looking down the mountain. Fun
activity!
Dad had his binoculars with him
so he could see the fireworks better. He would tell us when heart shapes would
appear, stars, smiley faces, etc.
Sometimes we would hear loud
thunder sounds that must have been low lying fireworks because it looked like
the mountain was aglow with fire from behind.
As we were driving to Suseong on
Sunday to speak in the English speaking military branch we passed this bus on
the road. There must be a LSU graduate somewhere in Korea.
This morning Dad and I made Rice
Krispy Treats for our missionaries to eat after lunch. It took us a couple of
hours to make nine batches of Rice Krispy Treats in the size pots we have to
cook in. Dad was great at beating those marshmallows in the melted butter. We
purchased large bags of marshmallows at Costco. We bought Cocoa Krispy/Tasco
brand at homemart (we hardly ever shop there). Then we got the plain Rice Krispy
somewhere else. In order to make something large scale (for all 141 missionaries
that we have right now in our mission) we usually have to plan ahead and buy an
item when we happen to see it.
Look at the name of this
restaurant Eenie Meenie Minie Moe! We saw this while we were waiting for Ben to
finish his cross country practice run.
All of our missionaries right before walking over to the trail for the start of our 5K run.
Dad and Mom walking just ahead of the crowd of missionaries.
